Health Care
The main focus of the Health Technology Exhibition to be hosted at the Sandton Convention Centre on 18, 19 & 20 February 2010, will be emerging technology and its role in health care, not only in South Africa, but globally. Endorsed by CEASA, it will underline the importance of technological developments in the health-care industry.
Linda Anderman, one of the project co-coordinators of the event, said the exhibition will feature six pavilions focusing on the major disciplines in health care and the emerging technology available. The pavilions will cover the following: surgery and anesthesiology; orthopedics; pediatrics and radiology; cardiology; pathology and oncology; critical care and trauma; dentistry and ophthalmology; and IT and software. The emerging technology seen at these pavilions will help South Africa and other parts of the world The general pavilion will cover nutrition, dermatology, obstetrics, medical engineering, urology, pharmaceuticals, health-care waste management, hospital engineering and facilities management.
