Apartheid is such a heartbreaking part of the history of South Africa. Nelson Mandela is someone who has brought much evolution even post apartheid. Nelson Mandela was one of the few who were completely anti apartheid in South Africa at the time. So much violence had resulted because of apartheid in South Africa. Nelson Mandela had even been condemned to a twenty seven year prison sentence in which Mandela served eighteen years. Post apartheid, Mandela has finally begun to receive the credit he deserves. Since, Mandela has received over a hundred awards and even won the Nobel Peace Prize in the year 1993.
